I am almost four months here in Georgia and slowly I am facing the point where I am questioning everything. It‘s not that I am regreting my choice to go to Georgia, it was one of my best decisions I‘ve ever made. But sometimes you have these days where everything is not how you want it to be.
Do I still want to be here?
What do I want to do after this year here in Georgia?
And so much more… Now is the point where I have to ask myself what I want to do in the future, but maybe it is not necessary to pressure myself? But who knows that?
To tell you guys I have still fun here in Georgia, we had a kids camp last week again, and it was really fun. It was about team building and the kids enjoyed it a lot. From having nice activities where they learned team bonding to a fun end game where everyone cheered up each other.
A little insight into our kids camp
After the succeeded kids camp we finally did a trip again. Last Saturday some of us went to Kazbegi and had a really nice trip there. Me, Vibeke and Oubayda rented a car again and we went to the frozen lakes together. It was insane! The view, the snow and our hike to the lake. It was really exhausting and at one moment I literally thought I get blind but thank god, I didn’t.
After we decided to walk back from the lake, because it was really exhausting. We stood almost with our thighs in the snow and we got stuck in the snow with the car. We had to ask a random guy to help us push the car out of the snow, but Vibeke and Oubayda managed it to push the car. For me it was the first and I guess also the last time I drove a car in Georgia.
After this first shock, we went back to Tsalka and ate Khinkali and Khachapuri.
Then we decided to go to the Azeula Fortress in Kojori. It was really beautiful we went to one of the crosses up the hill and almost died because it was so slippery. But the view up from there was incredible.
With the car Susie
The next day it was the Sunday, we made a trip all together. First we wanted to visit the David Gareji monastery. So we took the road from Rustavi through the off roads but apparently the road we took was not the best decision we had. Suddenly we end up in front of a military base in the middle of nowhere and a lot of mountains.
We decided to just pass the military base really quickly and continue the road ( it was still off road). After 20 minutes just driving straight we faced another problem… We stopped in front of warning side about not crossing the border to Azerbaijan. So that was not our best moment. After a lot discussion and heart attacks in the group we decided to drive back and still explore the rainbow mountains.
Our little shrimp & french turtle
Yeah what can I say, we arrived at the rainbow mountains and at a lot of fun but we also almost stood in front of a big mountain dog.. As I said it was not our best day, but we managed it somehow to walk back to the car.
In the evening we had a really good meal and had a last trip with the car we rented. Finally, I literally stand next to the green cross from Rustavi. After that we drove back and that was at the same time also the end of our trip.
So even if I have some thought in my mind about the future and how I am doing here in Georgia, I still have a lot of fun and experience things I would never experience in Germany.
And yeah, my I still haven‘t solve my problems about the future but I hope I will get some inspiration while I am still here in Georgia.
So if you want to read more about some trips I made or will make here in Georgia stay tuned.
